Перед виборами у Вагаршапаті соратники Пашиняна просять його не приїжджати в Ечміадзін

Представники правлячої партії “цивільний договір” у Вагаршапаті звернулися до Аргішті Мехакяна, який очолює список партії на місцевих виборах, з проханням переконати прем’єра Нікола Пашиняна не відвідувати Ечміадзін в передвиборний період, повідомляє ЗМІ. За даними видання, члени партії побоюються, що візит прем’єра може негативно вплинути на результати голосування, враховуючи зниження рейтингу ГД по країні, в тому числі в укрупненій громаді Вагаршапат, вибори в якій пройдуть вже в середині листопада. Усередині партії визнають, що складно переконати виборців підтримувати політику Пашиняна щодо Вірменської Апостольської Церкви, проти якої, на думку частини суспільства, прем’єр веде кампанію, підкреслить джерело. Вибори до Ради старійшин Вагаршапата пройдуть 16 листопада. На пост глави громади претендують вісім політичних сил: блок “Перемога”, список якого очолює Севак Хачатрян; партія “Всеармянський фронт” – Артем Симонян; партія “Республіка” – Арутюн Мкртчян; національно-демократична партія “Мати Вірменія” – Гриша Арутюнян; партія ” Вільні демократи — – Ваграм Азатян; партія “Спадщина” – Аркадій Пайтян; партія «Вітчизна» — Хачик Манукян; і правляча партія «цивільний договір», список якої очолює Аргішті Мехакян. Передвиборча кампанія розпочалася 22 жовтня і завершиться 14 листопада, за два дні до голосування. Після відставки колишнього мера Ечміадзіна Діани Гаспарян в травні, посада глави міста залишається вільною.
